"Peace. It does not mean to be in a place where there is no noise, trouble, or hard work. It means to be in the midst of all those things and still be calm in your heart."

About Me

Over the past 20 years I have worked with adolescents, adults, couples and families in diverse settings including: counseling centers, schools, non-profit mental health agencies, special education, and residential group homes.
I am a licensed psychotherapist and have been practicing for the last ten years in the Bay Area and now happily in Sonoma County. I completed my Masters Degree in Integral Counseling at the California Institute of Integral Studies in San Francisco and bring a lifetime of empathic listening and intuitive support to my practice as a therapist.
My style as a clinician is nonjudgmental and collaborative. I meet you wherever you are in your process and offer an eclectic approach that draws upon various theories and modalities. These might include: psychodynamic, sensorymotor psychotherapy, somatic, attachment, family systems, mindfulness, transpersonal, harm reduction, drama/play/art therapy, and gestalt. I am informed by the natural world, as well as my background in health education, Western herbalism and bodywork and I am dedicated to social justice and community-building. I have extensive training and practice in cultural sensitivity, youth empowerment and anti-racism work.
I carry a deep commitment to my own healing and inner growth and believe in the healing capacity of psychotherapy. My life and work experiences have led me to become a grounded, heartful and holistic psychotherapist, and I love my practice with both adults and youth.
