“Our wounds are often the openings into the best and most beautiful part of us.”
~David Richo

Therapy

INDIVIDUALS:  Working one-to-one in therapy is a powerful way to gain new insight, challenge stuck places and grow with unconditional support.  I have a particular interest in helping my clients cultivate self-compassion while working with emotional pain.  I often find that through this process, pain can be transformed into resiliency.

COUPLES:  I work collaboratively with couples to encourage more authentic connection, reduce conflict, and improve communication skills.  Additional goals might include: greater closeness, more satisfying sexual intimacy, and finding balance between parenthood, work, and your partnership/marriage.

YOUTH AND FAMILIES:  Teens and their families experience huge changes and can really benefit from effective and youth-sensitive therapy.  Some issues that might bring a young person and/or family to therapy include: behavior/mood changes, self-injury, depression, peer issues, family conflict, identity/gender/sexuality issues, bullying, ADHD, substance abuse, academic stress/underachievement, or risk-taking behavior.

GROUPS:  Group therapy is a wonderful way to gain broader support, receive validation for your experience and develop new skills.  I have facilitated groups for both adolescents and adults on topics ranging from self-esteem, social skills development, trauma recovery, healthy sexuality, pregnancy and postpartum, and grief and loss.  I offer groups intermittently, please inquire about group availability.
